What is it about the color of zinc that attracts some of us so much?
It could be considered a sort of drab,
cold, metallic color, but there is something about it,
something sexy, something natural, and perhaps even elegant.
An ornate oeil-de-boeuf for example is very elegant
and even an old bucket containing a well-groomed boxwood can look classy.

If you are a fan of it, tell us why you like it.
How do YOU combine it with your decor,
and if you have a good photo of a vignette that
includes a piece in this color, post it on our
Facebook page here
We look forward to your comments and your photos.

Would love to find two great big zinc planters, almost impossible aorund here...they are so beautiful!
Maybe it's the history it seems to possess. I love zinc and you are so right, put a boxwood in an old zinc bucket and its swoon worthy.

Very much the neutral shade, the colour of zinc works with any colour. There is something romantic about the aging tin, you just know it will look fabulous with dried flowers or the fresh velvet of rose petals.
Love the looks you have paired it with.
I Love the earthiness and organic appearance of Zinc & Tin pieces... these Images are gorgeous! Those Tin Angels are to die for!!!

There would be no pictures that could compare to that of yours! You're vignettes are perfect without looking "fixed". Sigh...some people are just naturals at this sort of thing and you, Martin and Johan certainly have the touch!
The tin angels are to die for!! Do you remember any details about them? I would love to know how tall they were and what they sold for. I imagine you didn't have them for very long. t would love to have an oeil-de-boeuf. How expensive are they? I'm sure shipping to Kansas would be astronomical!
I love sooo much zinc too.It adds a very special taste to all, and fits so perfectly with any kind of flowers. I love it both inside and outside.
I like your style, guys! So french!
Have nice days and thank you for share
Silvia

I definitely have a thing for zinc. And when I saw that you found the angels in Montpellier it made me smile. I used to live there and miss it terribly! Off to post my zinc pitchers on fb.

There is not a thing that would not fit in making themselves at home in the mix of my French brocante home.
I adore the metal basket, and everyting in zinc is devine!
Thank you my Friends for the beauty of salvage you have brought to our love of all things brocante French.

Fitting wooden or stone panels. The cost required to buy the plastic panels is less than that incurred to acquire wooden or stone panels.
I love Zinc :) while I am looking at your works I was so impressed with your capability in doing such a great like this. A lot of thanks.
